I need a bigger face. - Peyton

See, I grew into my ears. - Big Peyton

Vol. 44 no. 229

Hi Guys:

Wonderful news: I finished the FBI thriller for next summer -- yes, 2015 -- can you believe that? It's titled  NEMESIS -- this title really fits the book. And who is Nemesis? you ask. I'm not going to tell you. Yet.

THE FINAL CUT in paperback is out September 2nd and the last Super Moon for twenty years is on the 8th of September -- two very excellent happenings all within a week of each other. What more could you ask? (Unless you're asking who's going to play starting QB for the Browns.) My secret snark --  the 49ers start this season in their new Levi stadium, waaaaay down south of San Francisco and I've got to say, it feels wrong, way too far from home.

A treat: Click on my web site and listen to audio clips for both POWER PLAY: http://www.catherinecoulter.com/books/fbi/power-play
and THE FINAL CUT: http://www.catherinecoulter.com/books/brit-fbi/final-cut. If you like to listen while you're driving, like I do, you're in for a treat. Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews are excellent and will pull you right into the stories. They also read THE LOST KEY and we'll have an audio clip in the September newsletter.

Now, more fun stuff: Off to Mendocino this morning (a three hour drive, up on the northern California coast and where back in the day they filmed Murder She Wrote -- Cabot Cove, Maine). We'll be there for a couple of days of R&R -- reading, yummy food, checking out all the shops, reading, lying on the balcony watching the sun set over the ocean, reading, then maybe a walk around the grounds of Heritage House, to see if Angela overlooked any DBs.  Did I mention reading? How about eating?

Have a great August, and if you're traveling, be safe, and don't forget random acts of kindness and lots of laughter.
