Vol. 3049 No. 5943

I don’t think any of us will ever forget the day we get our first vaccine shot. Will we drive up, stick our arm out the window, visit the dentist and beg him/her not to give us the vaccine shot in the gums, or visit our grocery store, not for the flu shot this time, but for the life-saving stuff to keep us dancing on the planet? Whatever the venue, it’ll be a magic day, and we’ll sing hallelujahs to the heavens for the incredible technology that has enabled us to actually develop a 95% effective vaccine in seven months. Can you imagine, even five years ago, we couldn’t have done it. So, Happy New Year, everyone, Happy Days will soon be here again.

NFL Play-offs: We have all the usual suspects with a huge surprise, the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Will either team continue on after this weekend? We’ll see. Since I’m a sucker for the underdog, you know who I’ll be rooting for.

The Red Witch of Ravenstone Folly is the 5th novella of Grayson Sherbrooke’s Otherworldly Adventures. I’m finishing it up soon and hopefully it’ll be available in a few months (ebook only). What’s a Red Witch, you ask? The wizards who lived in caves in the Bulgar knew all about them, penned ancient manuscripts. You’ll find out.

A lot of you see my daily photos on Instagram and Facebook of the wonderful local scenic hiking trails. Until we’re all vaccinated it’s important you go out now and enjoy daily walks (two miles a day is recommended to stay fit and skinny). And once we’re all vaccinated the world will be open to us again, including hiking Kilimanjaro and Area 51 (or is it 52?). Go forth and keep fit and stay positive. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Can you?

Happy 2021,
Catherine
