Happy St. Paddy's Day:
So, last Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., (March 9th) I finished giving the galley corrections on the phone to my editor for WHIPLASH (14th FBI, out June 16th) and then typed in the final words to THE VALCOURT HEIRESS, a medieval historical romance out this fall. And I sat there and thought, WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW?
The answer was, quite simply, nothing. Everything was done. No loose ends, no more deadlines, no critical phone calls -- nothing. I'd been focused for the past months so completely on the novel that when it was all done and out the door, my brain couldn't handle it. So I did nothing for maybe two minutes and then went to the gym.
So maybe it's time to begin enjoying the Spring -- we're off to wine country (Napa Valley) this weekend to hang out. Then skiing at Alpine Meadows at Tahoe.
My web site is being updated as we speak. When it's done, I would appreciate if all of you tell me what you think -- Is it easy to navigate? Are the graphics super cool? Is all the info you could ever possibly need or want in this lifetime easily accessible? E-mail me and give me a rating from one (really sucks) to ten (totally awesome), and any suggestions you might have.
For all you folks who enjoy FACEBOOK, I'm creating a new Facebook page also and this time, I'm really going to get into it, like writing to you guys at least a couple of times a week. So be patient and check back with me often. If you've got ideas on what you'd like to see/hear on my Facebook page, let me know..
BIGGIE NEWS:
Thank all of you very much for voting on the publicity photo to use on the back of Whiplash. The vote was close -- but the winner is Photo #2. There were around 400 votes.
I hope everyone goes green on St. Paddy's Day -- Erin Go Bragh!
