June Newsletter 2010

June Newsletter 2010
King Tut died too soon - Peyton

Hello, Everyone:

IT'S THE MAIN MONTH OF THE YEAR, and the main day is shortly to come -- WHIPLASH, the 14th FBI thriller is out the 15th, just in time for you to fit it into your carry-on for the beach, OR, tuck it under your pillow and pull it out at night when you're alone, only using the single light over your shoulder and there are shadows thick in the room...

AND don't forget -- KNOCKOUT, the 13th FBI thriller, is out in paperback on June 29th.

Last year, you guys shot me into the #1 spot on the New York Times Bestseller List, for BOTH books, so, I'm sitting here thinkin' 'Hey, why not go for the gold again?' That sure seems like a good idea -- and so here's how you're going to help me (other than buying both books, of course): you're going to CHANT and DANCE. If you don't remember doing this last month, please check my May Newsletter for specific instructions. Ready?

l) Turn in a medium-size circle three times while

2) Your arms are extended straight in front of you, elbows locked, fingers wide while

3) You raise first your right foot and then your left foot while

4) singing "WHIPLASH is gonna fly, gonna fly, gonna fly, right to Number 1, no stops, no stops, right to #1, #1, #1 --

This is doable, I swear. I'll let you know next month if the rocket makes it..

Many thanks, Catherine

Just finished Whiplash...fantastic! Can't wait for the next in your FBI series. Savich and Sherlock are my all time favorite characters. Thanks for providing such wonderful reading material.

#2 Catherine, I just finished

Submitted by Visitor on Tue, 06/29/2010 - 9:14pm.

Catherine, I just finished your latest book, Whiplash. It was great as usual. The only problem I have with reading them is the fact that I read them so fast and have to wait so long for the next one. looking forward to another one. hope I wont have to wait an entire year for it, but I guess I will if I have too. Thanks for another good read.

#3 Downloaded Whiplash today. I

Submitted by JaNell on Tue, 06/29/2010 - 7:49pm.

Downloaded Whiplash today. I am so very happy now. Not sure what the delay was, but I am very happy it is now available. I sure hope my download helped you get to the number 1 slot. Hope it was not to late.  I wanted to explain why I posted earlier with my disappointment, see I had read months ago that some publishers were going to hold ebooks so that the only thing available would be the hardback so that they could make more money. Because they were not making enough money on the ebooks. Which I can understand, I mean they have to pay the author and staff etc... But it was still a disappointment to read that. And when I could not download your book in ebook form when the hardback form came out I thought I would cry.  I did not want to have to wait for months before I could read it. I thought oh crap it was true they are going to hold the ebook form for months. To be honest if I had the money and the room I would buy both, because I just love your books. Well off to read.

Thank you your fan always,

JaNell

#4 Not buying or

Submitted by Visitor on Sun, 06/27/2010 - 6:51pm.

Not buying or borrowing a hard copy of a book is not about loyalty to the authur. I live in an area with no library nearby and we no longer have the space to store books. I now read all my books now on my Kindle. I have read every book in the FBI series and I am seriously disappointed  that the newest book is not going to be available on Kindle. With more and more people turning to E readers it's time to move in that direction.

#5 I also love all your books

Submitted by Visitor on Fri, 06/25/2010 - 7:23pm.

I also love all your books and am horribly disappointed that I cannot get your new book for my Nook.  I also have converted to this convenient book form - I am an advid reader - alwyas have a book in my possession - the nook fits in my purse and I am good to go! - I do not understand your publisher's issues with ebook - it is available in audo mp3 format and those can be shared as easily as the book - plus - who hasn't loaned a hardback/paperback to a friend or family member  PLEASE!!! - You might want to let your publisher know that this really bites.

I love all your books, and am so disappointed I cannot download it.  I too will wait until it is available to download to read it.  Hopefully we will not have to wait too long.

#7 I wouldn't not read a book

Submitted by Visitor on Fri, 06/25/2010 - 11:55am.

I wouldn't not read a book just because it isn't available as an ebook, however the point is that this newsletter asks her readers to help get her book to #1 of the bestseller list well I can't help with that as I will wait until it is out in the e-format since I know it will be eventually.  I posted a message in hopes that someone will take all these comments back the publisher and show them what there are missing.

#9 You obviously don't

Submitted by Visitor on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 8:02pm.

You obviously don't understand that on a kindle, nook or whatever other e-reader you have, you can read the book over and over also. Kindle books that I purchase are stored for me on amazon's server and I can redownload them within seconds whenever I want.

#10 I have read every one of the

Submitted by Visitor on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 8:01pm.

I have read every one of the FBI series books of yours and had hoped to download Whiplash onto my Kindle.

I am extremely disappointed that this is not going to be able to happen now! I purchased a Kindle because of convenience - I travel all the time and it is a hassle to lug books around, to say nothing of the fact that it's easy to run out of room for them in your house!

Please pass the word to your publisher that myself and my 2 daughters are ONLY purchasing Kindle books now and unless it comes out soon on Kindle, you will have lost a reader and they will have lost our purchases in the future until they  change policies.
